The Lead Internal Communications Manager at Lumen is responsible for developing and implementing effective internal communication strategies that align with the company's goals and culture. This role involves crafting clear and compelling messages for diverse audiences, supporting leadership communication, and fostering employee engagement through various initiatives. The position requires strong writing skills, project management capabilities, and the ability to work closely with senior leaders to enhance internal communication efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement internal communication strategies that align with company goals.
  • Create and distribute high-quality content including newsletters, articles, and presentations.
  • Support company leaders in developing communication strategies and materials.
  • Plan and execute initiatives to enhance employee engagement.
  • Establish feedback channels to assess communication effectiveness.
  • Coordinate and support internal events such as town halls and employee meetings.
  • Ensure brand consistency in all internal communications.
  • Track and report on the effectiveness of internal communication efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in internal communications or a similar role.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Proven experience working with senior leaders and managing executive communications.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative communication solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with communication tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with graphic design and video production.
  • Knowledge of digital communication tools and platforms.
