About the position

The Lead, iOS Software Developer at Prodege plays a strategic role in scaling the company's mobile development efforts. This position is responsible for leading and optimizing the performance of an offshore iOS development team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and user-centric applications. The role involves setting technical standards, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement in development practices and team efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively lead and manage the offshore iOS development team to deliver high-quality, on-time projects.
  • Set and enforce iOS development best practices, ensuring the highest standards in coding, architecture, and user experience.
  • Ensure technical solutions align with broader business goals by collaborating with product, design, and technical teams.
  • Drive innovation and ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with Prodege's long-term mobile development strategy.
  • Oversee project execution, ensuring timely delivery and transparent reporting to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Five or more (5+) years of experience in iOS development, with a strong understanding of Swift, Objective-C, and the iOS ecosystem.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing offshore teams.
  • Expertise in design patterns, iOS frameworks, and Apple's Human Interface Guidelines.
  • Strong experience in code review and setting coding standards for quality, security, and maintainability.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and tools like JIRA or Trello for project management.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and App Store deployment processes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, balancing technical and business needs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field of study is preferred.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and backend integration.
  • Prior work with offshore teams in a distributed development environment.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure like AWS or GCP.
