About the position

The Lead IT Analyst for Merchandising Master Data at Ulta Beauty is responsible for the functional, technical, and configuration aspects of the company's merchandising systems. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional IT teams and business stakeholders to gather requirements, implement solutions, and provide ongoing support for systems related to item, vendor, and site master data, pricing, and procurement. The position is part of a high-performing team focused on enhancing merchandising planning and operations.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve issues with applications, following agreed procedures.
• Undertake the identification, registration, and categorization of incidents.
• Investigate problems in systems, processes, and services.
• Use established techniques to identify current problems and document business requirements.
• Actively participate in solution design and take ownership of requirements and end-to-end design.
• Assist in implementing solutions and applications as part of business requirements or enterprise initiatives.
• Administer release and deployment activities, logging results and documenting technical activities.
• Design and lead test cases and test scripts, analyzing and documenting test activities and outcomes.

Requirements

• 8+ years' experience in an enterprise application implementation environment, preferably in retail.
• Experience with Master data and Pricing and Merchandising solutions in retail or high-volume industries in S/4 HANA Environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven track record in providing superior production support.
• Practical experience using JIRA, SharePoint, and Confluence.
• Good understanding of batch jobs and their dependencies.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with ETL tools is a plus.
• Flexibility to provide support during odd hours, weekends, and peak seasons.
