About the position

The Lead IT Desktop Analyst will oversee a team of desktop support technicians, ensuring effective IT support and project management within an oilfield client environment. This role emphasizes team leadership, technical operations, and stakeholder communication, with a focus on enhancing user satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor a team of desktop support technicians at the main campus.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and skill development initiatives.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute IT projects, ensuring they meet time, cost, and quality expectations.
  • Oversee desktop hardware and software rollouts, upgrades, and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Develop and maintain procedures for troubleshooting, maintenance, and support of all end-user devices.
  • Ensure consistent desktop configurations, security compliance, and adherence to company IT standards.
  • Identify and implement improvements in desktop support processes to boost efficiency and user satisfaction.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the desktop support team and key stakeholders.
  • Provide regular project updates, support metrics, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee the resolution of critical incidents, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing root cause analysis.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years in IT support, with at least 2 years in a team lead or supervisory role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office Suite, Active Directory, remote support tools, and mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
  • Experience with Service Now.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
