About the position

The Lead IT Project Manager at McKesson is responsible for developing processes and structures to prioritize and provide visibility to strategic initiatives within the organization. This role involves leading and facilitating the execution of key programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with program goals while maintaining customer satisfaction. The Program Manager will oversee large, cross-functional data and digital transformation initiatives, driving collaboration and improving delivery velocity and quality across the Supply Chain services.

Responsibilities

  • Work across the MMS organization and support functions to prioritize, track progress, identify risks, and communicate updates of all programs.
  • Manage and deliver business-critical initiatives to exceed customer and stakeholder expectations.
  • Own large, cross-functional data & digital transformational initiatives and help define incremental breakdown of the work for implementation.
  • Drive initiatives within the data & digital transformation, applying best practices to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure milestones for initiatives are on track and measure against articulated value at the end of each delivery cycle.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for initiatives, ensuring realization of business value delivery as defined in the business case.
  • Support Portfolio Managers and Business Owners in structuring their Business Case and managing budgets.
  • Enable Supply Chain and Release Roadmap creation in collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Schedule, drive, and facilitate key program discussions and updates with a structured agenda.
  • Manage and drive follow-ups to completion, ensuring accountability for key initiatives.
  • Provide communication and transparency on the health of programs to different audience levels.
  • Plan and execute internal meetings and events, leading through issues and roadblocks while managing program risks.
  • Act as a change agent and program management evangelist, helping the team use structured program management frameworks and tools.
  • Build and develop internal customer relationships, adapting program management approaches as needed.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience in large, global organizations in cross-functional roles, specifically in Supply Chain and digital transformations.
  • Experience developing next-generation program management tools and methodologies.
  • Deep experience with SDLC and Supply Chain Development Lifecycle.
  • Understanding of Agile, SAFe, and Bi-Modal Delivery Structures.
  • Proven leadership capability to run large program delivery spanning multiple organizations and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to influence without formal authority and experience with conflict resolution.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technical, or Healthcare-related field.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, detail-oriented, and highly organized with proven risk and issue management skills.
  • Experience in healthcare is a plus, along with PMP Certification and SAFe or other Agile Scaling Certifications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Sales Force delivery and/or program management.
  • Proven experience of technology delivery across large teams and multiple technologies.
  • 5+ years of relevant hands-on Supply Chain delivery experience.
  • Understanding of data analytics and digital technology usage for the Supply Chain Domain.
  • Process design and efficiency expertise.
