About the position

The Lead IT Project Manager at the Department of the Treasury is responsible for providing specialized and technical IT services, focusing on project management and support for the Office of Information Technology's (OIT) customers. This role involves leading project teams, ensuring timely completion of tasks, and managing the planning, design, and execution phases of various IT projects.

Responsibilities

• Articulate and communicate project assignments, milestones, and deadlines to the team.
• Lead the team in identifying, distributing, and balancing workload and tasks among employees.
• Provide project leadership during planning, design, and execution phases of IT projects.
• Determine the impact of changes to existing systems or infrastructure components and ensure security controls are incorporated.

Requirements

• One year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level or equivalent, involving IT work developing, modifying, or enhancing IT products, services, or systems.
• Experience leading an IT project team or a segment of a project to maintain quality and mitigate risk.
• Experience facilitating and authoring schedules, minutes, and action/issue/risk logs for projects.
• IT-related proficiency in Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.
