About the position
The selected applicant will lead a team of system administrators responsible for providing physical, virtual, and cloud-based server and workstation infrastructure and application software support to functional testers within the Integration Test and Image Quality Office. This role involves daily interaction with users and customer leadership to engineer, advise, and implement information system processing requirements within the customer operational test environment. The candidate must possess strong organizational and planning skills to ensure that information processing platforms are properly managed and configured while maintaining flexibility for ad-hoc reconfigurations based on customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of system administrators providing infrastructure and application software support.
- Interface with users and customer leadership to implement information system processing requirements.
- Administer Windows, Linux/Solaris, and AWS environments.
- Define, assign, delegate, and monitor tasks on a daily and long-term basis.
- Ensure information processing platforms are baselined and configuration controlled continuously.
Requirements
- Experience administering Windows, Linux/Solaris, and AWS environments.
- Management experience with Amazon Web Services EC-2, S3, RDS, IAM, and other native services.
- Experience with directory services management (Active Directory, LDAP, Quest, NIS+).
- Experience with backup management (NetBackup, Ghost).
- Application installation and configuration experience.
- Experience with VMWare/VSphere operations management.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP.
Nice-to-haves
- 10+ years of experience with a BS/BA degree.
- UNIX/Linux training/certification.
- Microsoft Windows Active Directory training/certifications.
- Amazon Web Services training/certifications.
- CompTIA Security+ certification.
