About the position

Cognizant Digital Engineering is seeking a Lead Java/AWS Developer to spearhead the design, development, and deployment of high-quality software solutions. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to create robust and scalable applications using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and AWS technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Involve in various phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and work in a highly dynamic Agile environment.
  • Design and develop software using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS technologies including EKS, ECS, AWS Lambda, Terraform, and AWS Aurora Postgres.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software as needed.
  • Test and fix bugs or other coding issues.
  • Add value to team delivery and work collaboratively to complete tasks to high quality while actively learning new skills.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of software development experience.
  • Proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, Invest API, Oracle, and Kafka.
  • Experienced with AWS cloud technologies (EKS, Fargate, Lambda, S3, RDS, Terraform).
  • AWS Developer or Solution Architect certification preferred.
  • Good experience with rule engines (e.g., Drools).
  • Experience with JPMC on-premises cloud (Gaia) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with build and deployment tools like Jules and Jenkins.
  • Strong communication skills and experience in delivering projects using Scrum agile methodology.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-starter, quick learner, and detail-oriented.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with AWS logging and monitoring using Datadog.
  • Experience with AWS Security groups and AWS MSK (Kafka).
