About the position

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Java Lead Developer with expertise in AWS to join our team. This role involves leading the design, development, and deployment of cloud-based software applications for a diverse range of global clients. Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of software applications using AWS, SQL, Spring Boot, Java, Spring MVC, JavaScript, and MySQL.
• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle from requirement analysis to deployment and maintenance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality code by conducting code reviews and implementing best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and QA engineers to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation to support ongoing development and future enhancements.
• Implement and optimize database solutions using SQL and MySQL to ensure data integrity and performance.
• Utilize AWS services to build and deploy scalable and secure cloud-based applications.
• Integrate front-end and back-end components using JavaScript and Spring MVC to create seamless user experiences.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the development process.
• Contribute to the company's purpose by developing software solutions that have a positive impact on society.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and data protection regulations in all software development activities.

Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Have a minimum of 10 to 12 years of hands-on experience in software development with expertise in AWS, SQL, Spring Boot, Java, Spring MVC, JavaScript, and MySQL.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Exhibit excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Certifications Required: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Oracle Certified Professional Java SE Programmer.
