About the position

The Lead Java Developer at Infosys is responsible for providing technical expertise and coordinating day-to-day deliverables for the development team. This role involves assisting in the technical design of large business systems, building applications, and ensuring data security and recovery. The candidate will also research technologies to recommend solutions, contribute to best practices, and guide the team through the build and test phases.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and coordinate day-to-day deliverables for the team.
  • Assist in the technical design of large business systems.
  • Build applications and interfaces between applications.
  • Understand data security, retention, and recovery.
  • Research technologies independently to recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Contribute to technology-specific best practices and standards.
  • Contribute to success criteria from design through deployment, including reliability, cost-effectiveness, performance, data integrity, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Guide and mentor the team during the build and test phases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
  • Experience in Core Java, Spring Boot, and Webservices.

Nice-to-haves

  • At least 4 to 8 years of experience in Java/J2EE technologies and frameworks like Spring and Hibernate.
  • Good knowledge of Webservices, REST services, JSP, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with enterprise web servers, preferably WebSphere or JBoss.
  • Experience in software development life cycle.
  • Experience in project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
  • Experience in the Banking domain.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a diverse/multiple stakeholder environment.
  • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
