We are seeking a Lead Java Developer to join our team in Atlanta for a contract position lasting 12 months or more. This role is crucial as it involves not only technical expertise but also leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in back-end Java development and experience with AWS services, including DynamoDB, Lambda, EC2, and S3. The Lead Java Developer will be responsible for building APIs and working with microservices architecture, ensuring that the applications are scalable and efficient. In this position, you will lead a team of developers, mentoring them and delegating tasks effectively. Your leadership will be key in guiding the team through the development process, ensuring that best practices are followed and that the project meets its deadlines. You will also be expected to run CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Tekton, or GitLab CI, although building these pipelines is not part of the role. Familiarity with Spring Boot or Quarkus frameworks is essential, as these will be the primary technologies used in the development process. Additionally, while the focus is on back-end development, a basic understanding of front-end technologies, particularly Angular, will be beneficial. This role requires a local candidate who can attend onsite interviews and work closely with the team in Atlanta.
