Lead Java Developer with React

About the position

Cognizant's Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Java Full Stack Engineer with React experience developing and building high-performing, scalable, enterprise applications. You will be part of a digital software team that works on high-demand applications. Our engineers have a passion for high-quality, reliable and maintainable code. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together in order to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using SQL, Spring Boot, React JS, React native, Java, JavaScript, and MySQL.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with the team.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code.
• Ensure software is updated with the latest features and security patches.
• Develop and execute unit tests to ensure code quality.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all development processes.

Requirements

• 9+ years of experience in Full stack Java and React
• Possess strong technical skills in SQL, Spring Boot, React JS, React Native, Java, JavaScript, and MySQL.
• Have experience in Asset and Wealth Management, which is a plus.
• Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Exhibit strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Show proficiency in writing clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Have a solid understanding of software development principles and practices.
• Display a proactive attitude towards learning and adopting new technologies
