About the position

Infosys is seeking a Lead Java Developer who will play a crucial role in providing technical expertise and coordinating day-to-day deliverables for the development team. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist in the technical design of large business systems, which includes building applications and creating interfaces between various applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data security, retention, and recovery processes. This role requires the ability to independently research technologies to recommend appropriate solutions and contribute to technology-specific best practices and standards. The Lead Java Developer will also be responsible for defining success criteria from the design phase through to deployment, ensuring aspects such as reliability, cost-effectiveness, performance, data integrity, maintainability, and scalability are met. The candidate will contribute their expertise on significant application components, programming languages, databases, and operating systems, while also guiding and mentoring the team during the build and test phases. This position is based in multiple locations including LoneTree, CO, Austin, TX, Raleigh, NC, and Southlake, TX. Candidates should be located within commuting distance of these cities or be willing to relocate immediately. The role may require travel to project locations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and coordinate day-to-day deliverables for the team.
  • Assist in the technical design of large business systems.
  • Build applications and interfaces between applications.
  • Understand data security, retention, and recovery processes.
  • Research technologies independently to recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Contribute to technology-specific best practices and standards.
  • Define success criteria from design through deployment, focusing on reliability, cost-effectiveness, performance, data integrity, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Guide and mentor the team during the build and test phases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 4 years of experience with Information Technology.
  • Excellent knowledge in J2EE technologies with Spring Boot, Web services, and Microservices.
  • At least 6 years of IT Industry Experience on J2EE technologies.
  • At least 6 years of hands-on experience in analysis, design, development, and testing on custom application development platforms such as Java/J2EE.
  • At least 6 years of experience in J2EE frameworks like Struts, Spring, and Hibernate.
  • At least 6 years of experience in Unix shell scripting, Java (core & web services), Oracle/SQL/Stored Procedure, and MongoDB.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Angular 2, Angular 4, and TypeScript.
  • Experience in Cloud technologies, Spring Cloud Data Flow, and PCF preferred.
  • Experience in CI/CD processes.
  • Minimum 6 years in application development/maintenance.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
  • Experience in test-driven development and pair programming.
  • Analytical skills and ability to work in a diverse/multiple stakeholder environment.
