About the position

The Lead Java Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade web applications using Java and related technologies. This role requires extensive experience in Java J2EE, Spring frameworks, and microservices architecture, along with strong leadership skills to guide a team of developers. The position is contract-to-hire and requires onsite presence from day one.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop web applications using Java J2EE and Spring technologies.
• Lead a team of developers and provide technical guidance.
• Architect and develop large scale enterprise applications.
• Implement microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver complex software solutions.
• Ensure high performance and scalability of applications.
• Conduct unit testing and ensure code quality through best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in application deployment and configuration.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in software development with a focus on Java J2EE.
• 9+ years of experience building web applications using Spring technologies.
• 5+ years of experience with Hibernate, RESTful services, and Spring JDBC.
• Strong experience with Microservices and Spring Boot.
• 8+ years of experience in web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with REACT tools including React.js, Webpack, Redux, and Flux.
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks like Mocha and Jest.
• Experience with Oracle PL/SQL and SQL.
• Strong analytical skills and troubleshooting abilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in building applications for the financial industry.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools like Git and Jenkins.
• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and services (AWS, Google).
