About the position

The Lead Java Developer at Infosys is responsible for providing technical expertise and coordinating day-to-day deliverables for the development team. This role involves assisting in the technical design of large business systems, building applications, and ensuring data security and integrity. The candidate will also contribute to best practices and standards, guiding the team through the build and test phases while ensuring reliability, cost-effectiveness, and scalability of solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and coordinate day-to-day deliverables for the team.
  • Assist in the technical design of large business systems.
  • Build applications and interfaces between applications.
  • Understand data security, retention, and recovery.
  • Research technologies independently to recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Contribute to technology-specific best practices and standards.
  • Contribute to success criteria from design through deployment, including reliability, cost-effectiveness, performance, data integrity, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Guide and mentor the team during the build and test phases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
  • Experience in Core Java, Spring Boot, and Web Services.

Nice-to-haves

  • At least 4 to 8 years of experience in Java/J2EE technologies and frameworks like Spring and Hibernate.
  • Good knowledge of Web Services, REST services, JSP, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with enterprise web servers, preferably WebSphere or JBoss.
  • Experience in software development life cycle and project life cycle activities.
  • Experience in the Banking domain.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a diverse/multiple stakeholder environment.
  • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
