The Lead/Java Fullstack Developer position is a contract role focused on leading a team of developers to deliver diverse technology projects within the Banking and Financial Industry. The role emphasizes collaboration with product managers to create cloud-based solutions that enhance user experiences and meet regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full stack development, microservices, and cloud computing, along with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers.
• Create solutions that help meet regulatory needs for the company.
• Stay updated on tech trends and experiment with new technologies.
• Mentor other members of the engineering community.
• Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions.
• Utilize various programming languages and technologies including Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Client Cloud).
• 7+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js.
• 2+ years of experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, or another cloud service.
• 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks.
• 1+ years of people management experience.
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with UI frameworks such as Angular or React.
