About the position

The Lead Java Developer at Infosys is responsible for providing technical expertise and coordinating day-to-day deliverables for the development team. This role involves assisting in the technical design of large business systems, building applications, and ensuring data security, retention, and recovery. The candidate will also research technologies independently to recommend solutions and contribute to best practices and standards throughout the project lifecycle, from design to deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and coordinate day-to-day deliverables for the team.
  • Assist in the technical design of large business systems.
  • Build applications and interfaces between applications.
  • Understand data security, retention, and recovery.
  • Research technologies independently to recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Contribute to technology-specific best practices and standards.
  • Contribute to success criteria from design through deployment, including reliability, cost-effectiveness, performance, data integrity, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Guide and mentor the team during the build and test phases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
  • Experience in Core Java and HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP troubleshooting.

Nice-to-haves

  • At least 4 to 8 years of experience in HTTP and HTTPS, TCP/IP troubleshooting, and Internet protocols including DNS, LDAP, Telnet, SMTP, and SNMP.
  • Knowledgeable in web products such as Oracle HTTP Server (OHS).
  • At least 4 to 8 years of experience with UNIX and Shell scripting for automating tasks and managing systems.
  • Experience in middleware architecture knowledge, design, and development, including IBM Integration Bus (ACE)/Message Broker, WebSphere DataPower, WebSphere MQ, MuleSoft, and DevOps Release Engineering.
  • Experience in WebLogic architecture, covering design, administration, configuration, and integration.
  • Experience in maintaining and supporting PaaS and API gateway infrastructure and associated tools.
  • Experience in installing, clustering, and performing performance tuning and troubleshooting for application servers.
  • Experience in working with XML and Web Services for data exchange and application integration.
  • Experience in AIX, Linux, and Windows administration.
