About the position

The Lead Knowledge Analyst (LKA) in the Defense and Security sector at BCG plays a crucial role in delivering value to clients through expertise and knowledge assets. This position involves contributing to proposals and client engagements, providing insights on defense-related topics, and mentoring junior colleagues. The LKA will support U.S. Federal Government clients, focusing on areas such as acquisition, organizational transformation, and cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Deliver value to clients through individual expertise and institutionalized knowledge assets.
• Contribute to proposals and cases through thought partnership in the area of expertise.
• Deliver original analyses and insights to drive strong impact with clients.
• Support commercialization efforts for the sector by providing insights and advice for proposals and client workshops.
• Lead the development of intellectual property and assets for the business.
• Mentor and guide junior colleagues based on topic/sector expertise.
• Engage with U.S. Federal Government clients on defense and security-related topics.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the relevant sector required; consulting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of U.S. Federal Government acquisition/procurement and contracting processes required.
• Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred).
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with stakeholders.
• US citizenship required and ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. federal government security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with DACIS and related contract systems strongly preferred.
• Prior military or civilian service in U.S. Department of Defense acquisition or contracting positions strongly preferred.
