About the position

The Lead Knowledge Analyst (LKA) in the Defense and Security sector at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) plays a crucial role in delivering value to clients through expertise and knowledge assets. This position involves contributing to proposals and client engagements, providing insights on defense and security topics, and mentoring junior colleagues. The LKA will support U.S. Federal Government clients, focusing on areas such as acquisition, procurement, and digital innovation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver value to clients through individual expertise and institutionalized knowledge assets.
• Contribute to proposals and cases through thought partnership in the area of expertise.
• Deliver original analyses and insights to drive strong impact with clients.
• Support commercialization efforts for the sector by providing insights and advice for proposals and client workshops.
• Lead the development of intellectual property and assets for the business.
• Mentor and guide junior colleagues based on topic/sector expertise.
• Engage with U.S. Federal Government clients on defense and security-related topics.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the relevant sector; consulting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of U.S. Federal Government acquisition/procurement and contracting processes required.
• Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• US citizenship required and ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. federal government security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with DACIS and related contract systems.
• Prior military or civilian service in U.S. Department of Defense acquisition or contracting positions.
