About the position

The Lead Label Room Technician is responsible for overseeing the Label Room operations, ensuring that the activities of shift employees align with the priorities of the Material Control Department. This role involves coordinating with various functional groups, managing inventory in SAP, providing training, and promoting safety within the department.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor activity in the Label Room and direct shift employees' activities.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service, Supply Chain, Compounding, Production, Scheduling, and Quality to align goals and priorities.
  • Review and reconcile SAP transactions and reports for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Identify training needs and deliver training on SOPs and work instructions.
  • Operate powered industrial equipment safely and complete daily checklists.
  • Maintain Label inventory in SAP and investigate related issues.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance for label printers and equipment.
  • Ensure safety equipment is secured and safety procedures are followed.
  • Review Label Reconciliations for accuracy and compliance.
  • Research and resolve label inventory and reconciliation variances.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly Label Room area.
  • Promote safety awareness and responsibility within the department.
  • Support safety initiatives and recommend improvements to management.
  • Comply with FDA and cGMP requirements and recommend equipment performance improvements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience operating powered industrial equipment in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
  • Five (5) plus years in a warehousing environment, preferably in the personal care/pharmaceutical/food industry in lieu of degree.
  • Previous experience with reconciling inventory and transaction history.
  • SAP experience.
