About the position
The Logistic Center Warehouse Lead at Karl Storz is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing daily operations within the warehouse. This position focuses on driving continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and enhancing workflow efficiency. The lead will guide the team, support training initiatives, and collaborate with both internal and external customers to maintain high operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily department operations and labor planning.
- Support training, process improvements, and LEAN initiatives (5S, Audits, etc.).
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and aging transfer orders.
- Assist with departmental projects and work instructions.
- Ensure compliance with audit and quality programs.
- Actively contribute to the collection and analysis of feedback from associates and customers through the VOC (Voice of the Customer) process and the Idea Board.
- Meet and exceed service level agreements by maintaining operational efficiency, on-time delivery, and a high standard of service.
- Ensure all departmental activities comply with internal and external audit standards.
- Monitor and reduce WIP carryover, ensuring timely processing of inventory and orders.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Leadership experience and proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage physical tasks (lifting, reaching, using equipment).
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
- Knowledge of warehouse inventory equipment.
