About The Position
HCA Healthcare is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. This position is crucial in ensuring that we provide high-quality, efficient care to our patients. The Lead Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance and repairs across assigned facilities, which includes plumbing, electrical work, basic carpentry, painting, heating and cooling systems, and other building systems. This role also involves mentoring and guiding General Maintenance Technicians, making it essential for the candidate to possess extensive knowledge of maintenance procedures and the ability to lead others effectively. The ideal candidate will be an outstanding problem solver with exceptional communication and organizational skills. They will be responsible for implementing tasks set forth in Preventative Maintenance procedures, responding to corrective work requests logged in the CMMS system, and maintaining inventory records for equipment and supplies. The Lead Maintenance Technician will also need to plan and schedule repairs while ensuring minimal disruption to hospital operations. In this role, the technician will be expected to complete minor repairs, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks, and conduct periodic quality checks on building systems to ensure functionality. The Lead Maintenance Technician will maintain open lines of communication with all departments to keep customers informed about maintenance requests and activities. This position requires a professional presentation and attitude, with a strong emphasis on customer service and teamwork. Candidates should be physically capable of working overtime, including weekends and holidays, and must have a high school diploma along with a minimum of five years of relevant maintenance experience in a healthcare setting. Leadership experience is preferred, and candidates with vocational training in building maintenance or a related field will also be considered.
