About the position

The Lead Maintenance Technician at Supernal is responsible for the assembly, inspection, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical components on advanced rotorcraft and support equipment. This role ensures the safe execution of maintenance tasks, oversees a team of technicians, and supports various test and evaluation programs. The position requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and adherence to industry guidelines while fostering a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, inspect, repair, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components on advanced rotorcraft and support equipment.
  • Ensure safe execution of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, preventative maintenance, inspections, and functional testing.
  • Oversee the workflow of maintenance technicians and assist with their daily tasks.
  • Conduct aircraft minor and major modifications and routine/preventative maintenance.
  • Test article build-up and maintenance, troubleshoot aircraft and test systems.
  • Follow standard ground operations, including jacking, towing, and fueling.
  • Conduct weight and balance tracking and balancing activities.
  • Perform electrical assembly and repair, maintaining a clean working environment.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and manage logistics for new parts/supplies as necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to company safety and operating policies/procedures.

Requirements

  • GED or high school diploma required; college degree preferred.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience as an aircraft technician or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with standard and non-standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the aviation field.
  • Knowledge of high/low voltage power systems and safe working practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive delivery of communication and follow-up.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables, and MS Office Suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Flight Operations experience preferred.
  • Rotorcraft experience preferred.
  • Experimental Flight Test experience preferred.
