About the position

The Lead Manufacturing Engineer at GE Renewable Energy will focus on the EDM and Laser processes associated with High Pressure Turbine (HPT) Blades. This role involves supporting the Turbine Airfoils Shops and advancing technology through New Product Introduction (NPI) projects. The engineer will be responsible for departmental operations planning and execution, ensuring that manufacturing processes meet quality, volume, and timeliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the process engineer for EDM and Laser operations on High Pressure Turbine Blades.
• Develop processes for New Product Introduction (NPI) programs needed by the business.
• Support TAVS HPT Blade Shops with ongoing projects, mentorship, training, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
• Focus on continuous improvement and advancing new technology within BladeworX.
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of technical disciplines and analytical thinking to execute policy and strategy.
• Propose solutions for complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and interdependent production cycles.
• Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and help bring team members to consensus on topics within the field.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of Manufacturing experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of Manufacturing experience.
