About the position

The Lead Manufacturing Engineer will focus on the EDM and Laser processes related to High Pressure Turbine (HPT) Blades, supporting projects in the Turbine Airfoils Shops and advancing technology. This role involves engineering associated with manufacturing processes, departmental operations planning, and execution of professional activities within a technical discipline, allowing for some autonomy while adhering to established policies. The position requires travel up to 20%-40% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Process engineer for EDM and Laser operations on High Pressure Turbine Blades.
• Develop processes for New Product Introduction (NPI) programs needed by the business.
• Support TAVS HPT Blade Shops (Auburn, Greenville, Madisonville) with ongoing projects, mentorship, training, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
• Focus on continuous improvement and advancing new technology in BladeworX.
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of technical disciplines and analytical thinking to execute policy and strategy.
• Propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address complicated manufacturing processes.
• Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and help develop their skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of Manufacturing experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of Manufacturing experience.
