About the position

The Lead Marketing & Proposal Specialist will play a crucial role in the Transportation Group at CDM Smith, focusing on large and complex project pursuits exceeding $10 million. This position involves strategic leadership during the presell stage, collaborating with various stakeholders to create compelling proposals and presentations tailored for transportation clients. The specialist will utilize exceptional writing and creative skills to develop clear and engaging content, while also managing marketing materials and promoting marketing efforts for regional and national conferences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead strategist during the presell stage on large, highly complex project pursuits.
• Provide and facilitate writing and editing for complex proposals, presentations, and marketing materials.
• Apply exceptional writing, editing, and creative abilities to develop compelling content.
• Facilitate brainstorming and strategy development sessions with team members.
• Utilize a theme-based approach in proposal and presentation development.
• Partner with senior staff to develop strategies for marketing opportunities and events.
• Update marketing materials, ensuring they are maintained and up to date.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 8 years of related experience.
• Ability to lead and motivate pursuit teams over long-term projects.
• Experience in proposal development in the Architectural/Engineering/Construction industry, particularly in transportation.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Advanced skills in Adobe InDesign, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
