About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Marketing Consultant to spearhead critical prospect acquisition marketing campaigns for the Small & Business Banking (SBB) Marketing Team. This role involves leading a cross-functional team to drive new customer acquisition by promoting Wells Fargo deposit accounts to small business owners through direct marketing tactics. The consultant will manage the end-to-end marketing campaign process, collaborate with various internal teams, and develop creative assets to enhance customer engagement and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage acquisition campaigns primarily through the Direct Mail channel to promote Wells Fargo Business Banking deposit accounts.
  • Optimize the multi-million dollar acquisition marketing budget across multiple campaigns to achieve customer acquisition goals and ROI objectives.
  • Lead a matrixed team of data analysts, direct mail channel managers, creative designers, and operations employees to achieve campaign goals.
  • Track macro-economic trends, small business environment, competitor strategies, and recommend pivots in direct marketing campaigns as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Science Team to forecast campaign results, author business cases, and publish campaign reporting packages.
  • Provide ongoing performance updates to senior leadership and C-suite executives.
  • Ideate breakthrough marketing concepts to improve response rates and lower campaign costs.
  • Collaborate with various partners and stakeholders to meet new customer and deposit balance goals.
  • Build offer strategies including launching cash offers to incentivize new customers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or Digital Platforms (e.g., Mobile or Social Media).
  • 5+ years' experience in leading marketing strategy and campaign execution focused on customer acquisitions and performance marketing, specifically direct mail.
  • Proven experience in achieving new customer growth goals.
  • Experience optimizing marketing investments to maximize ROI.
  • Strong knowledge of business banking products and the small business customer segment.
  • Strong analytical understanding of marketing campaigns, A/B testing, and Return on Marketing Investment (ROMI).
  • Campaign management and execution experience, ideally within Aprimo or similar tools.
  • Expert knowledge in Dun & Bradstreet data is a plus.
  • Ability to direct creative teams to develop marketing campaign assets.
  • Strong presentation skills, particularly with senior/C-suite level leadership.
  • Ability to navigate a matrixed environment and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
