About the position
The Lead Material Coordinator at Venture Global LNG is responsible for overseeing the movement of materials for Calcasieu Pass LNG Operations. This role involves managing warehouse activities such as receiving, issuing, stocking, delivering, and counting materials, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage the movement of materials for Calcasieu Pass LNG Operations.
- Oversee warehouse activities including receiving, issuing, stocking, and delivering materials.
- Deliver materials, equipment, valves, and connections using a forklift or hand dolly.
- Maintain computerized and paper records of items purchased, delivered, and issued.
- Interface with operations, maintenance, and administrative personnel during duties.
- Report to work during unscheduled times in emergency situations.
- Apply Health, Safety and Environmental Standards in all working procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Three years of full-time employment in warehousing and materials management or a closely related field.
- Experience with a computerized inventory control system or a combination of education and experience.
- Extensive experience using SAP and MS Office programs.
Nice-to-haves
- Self-starter with the ability to work strategically under little direction.
- Strong knowledge of material management principles, specifically inventory control.
- Awareness of procurement procedures, maintenance practices, and operations processes.
- Ability to establish relationships with third-party vendors.
