About the position
We are seeking a skilled Lead Electrical Mechanic to join our team, responsible for assisting in the installation, alteration, addition, and repair of electrical systems on commercial work sites. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of relevant experience and expertise in conduits, pipe bending, and wiring, working under the guidance of a Journeyman level electrician.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit.
- Bend pipe (1 inch).
- Trace out short circuits in wiring.
- Assist in lifting, positioning, and fastening objects such as wiring, conduit, and motors.
- Remove lighting fixtures and install new ones.
- Pull MC Cable wires.
- Help secure, relocate, and organize materials, small tools, and equipment.
- Assist in pulling wire, lifting, hoisting, and positioning materials.
- Operate hand tools and equipment under direct supervision.
- Assist in mounting and strapping conduit.
- Maintain tools and equipment and keep supplies and parts in order.
- Keep work area clean by collecting and disposing of scrap, excess materials, and refuse.
Requirements
- Proficiency in conduits, pipe bending, and wiring.
- Ownership of basic hand tools.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree.
- 8+ years of experience in the electrical field.
- Carpentry and masonry repair skills.
- Familiarity with NEC code.
