Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for researching and analyzing advancements in technology related to Air/Missile Defense workloads, ensuring that the department remains at the forefront of engineering practices and technological innovations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide recommendations to management regarding technology initiatives and proposals.
  • Guide and assist other engineers and technicians in analyzing and appraising problems.
  • Develop new procedures and techniques to achieve engineering objectives.
  • Prepare and present information papers and technology briefings documenting findings.
  • Research and analyze new technology advancements related to Air/Missile Defense.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent education and experience.
  • One year of specialized experience in mechanical, computer, or electronics engineering applicable to design and development.
  • Ability to identify innovative solutions to complex engineering problems.
  • Experience managing and providing oversight to multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination.
