About the position

The Lead Mechanical Engineer at L3Harris is responsible for directing and consulting on the technical activities of design teams involved in developmental and IRAD programs. This role requires close collaboration with Program Management, Engineering Leads, Manufacturing, and other departments to expedite project completion and enhance the overall operation of mechanical engineering development teams.

Responsibilities

• Direct and consult on the technical activities of design teams on developmental and IRAD programs.
• Work closely with Program Management, Engineering Leads, Manufacturing, and other departments to expedite project completion.
• Facilitate and improve the overall operation of mechanical engineering development teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar technical field and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
• 7+ years of Multi-Disciplined Engineering Team Lead Experience.
• Prior experience being a Technical / IPT Lead on a developmental program.
• Prior experience mentoring engineers.
• Must meet eligibility requirements to access US classified information.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DOD Secret Security Clearance.
