About the position

The Lead Machine Learning/AI Engineer will spearhead strategic initiatives and oversee the end-to-end development of cutting-edge AI and machine learning solutions. This role involves defining project scopes, setting technical direction, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex models and systems. The engineer will lead cross-functional teams, manage high-impact research and development efforts, and drive innovation within the organization, while optimizing and integrating large-scale data architectures and ensuring operational excellence of machine learning solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and research around complex Machine Learning (ML) systems, models, and schemes.
  • Identify differences and complex use cases of ML algorithms and apply findings to enable business decisions.
  • Lead the maintenance and support of ML/AI software platforms by reviewing and solving issues.
  • Communicate business objectives and develop complex models that help achieve them, along with metrics to track progress.
  • Lead the writing of complex software documentation and code to extract data from various databases.
  • Manage available resources such as hardware, data, and personnel to meet deadlines and deploy predictive models.
  • Analyze ML algorithms that could solve given problems and rank them by success probability.
  • Explore and visualize data to understand it and verify data quality.
  • Analyze errors of the model and implement strategies to overcome them.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science).
  • 10 years of related experience or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with programming languages: C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, R, and SQL.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Predictive Modeling.
  • Experience with compute clouds and creating database schemas.
  • Knowledge of Open CV and Linux.
  • Demonstrated analytical and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience with machine learning algorithms and software engineering practices.
  • Ability to work independently and drive multiple projects to successful completion.
  • Attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Benefits

  • Full-time salary range: $164,071 - $273,451
  • Regular full-time position with a day shift schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM.
