About the position

The Lead Machine Learning Operations Engineer will be responsible for developing and fine-tuning AI models, particularly in text classification and Natural Language Processing (NLP). This role involves close collaboration with clients to understand their needs, refine existing models, and deploy tailored solutions. The position requires extensive experience with various ML libraries and tools, as well as a strong focus on integrating AI across business platforms and maintaining high standards in model deployment and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business needs into analytics/reporting requirements for data-driven decisions.
  • Integrate Gen AI across different business platforms according to needs.
  • Deploy models on both on-prem and cloud environments (mainly AWS).
  • Develop and refine CI/CD pipelines and maintain SLAs.
  • Develop and architect IaC using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Guide and approve analytics/modeling approach, model deployment requirements, and quality assurance standards.
  • Refine existing DevOps procedures and enforce best practices.
  • Work within a scrum team across various business units.
  • Manage Databricks platform for AI/ML data pipelines.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
  • 5-7 years experience in a data science or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Python (preferred) or Javascript.
  • Extensive knowledge and working experience with MLOps tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Strong communication skills with experience presenting to stakeholders and breaking down technical topics to non-technical team members.
  • Experience with cloud computing environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Data/ML platforms (Databricks, Spark).
  • Experience with code versioning repositories like GitHub.
  • Experience with Databricks and CLI codes.
