As the Lead Mobile App Developer at Nutrafol, you will play a pivotal role in our mobile app development team, reporting directly to the Vice President of Engineering. This position is designed for an experienced Lead Flutter Developer who will manage one or more contract developers and support the go-live process for our public release on both iOS and Android platforms. Your responsibilities will encompass ongoing development, support, and maintenance of the mobile application, ensuring that it meets the high standards we set for our products. In this role, you will lead the mobile app development from inception through launch, collaborating closely with business partners, product teams, and the rest of the mobile app development team. You will be responsible for ensuring that the development team writes the appropriate level of unit tests and adheres to sound development principles. Your expertise will guide the team in planning sprints, conducting retrospectives, and strategizing on the technical roadmap. You will own the development and deployment of the app to production, working closely with our vendor to understand the architecture and design, and transitioning app development in-house over time. Your role will also involve reviewing vendor code to ensure high-quality, readable, and maintainable code is produced. You will identify and resolve software defects, working with the vendor as needed to apply fixes and improvements. Documentation of application architecture and design will be a key part of your responsibilities, as will providing post-launch support, including managing the submission and approval processes for the Apple and Google stores. You will ensure that sound development practices are defined and followed by the team, resulting in quality and maintainable code that is compatible across multiple platforms. Additionally, you will share feedback and brainstorm ideas with teams to continuously improve the development process.
