We are looking for an experienced Lead Mobile Engineer to lead mobile app development efforts while contributing 50% of your time to hands-on coding. You will be responsible for driving the technical direction of mobile projects, mentoring engineers, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality mobile applications. Your expertise in Android or iOS development is essential, along with a strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms.
• Define the technical strategy and architecture for mobile applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of mobile applications with other systems and to align on project goals and priorities.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and drive technical excellence within the team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the mobile development lifecycle.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of mobile engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
• Act as a technical point of contact between the mobile team and other stakeholders.
• Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile applications for Android or iOS platforms.
• Participate in hands-on development tasks including feature development, bug fixing, and optimization.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in mobile technologies and integrate relevant improvements into the development process.
• Actively participate in code reviews, debugging, and optimization of application performance.
• Drive adoption of development tools, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines within the team.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience in mobile application development.
• Strong hands-on experience in Android (Kotlin/Java) or iOS (Swift/Objective-C) mobile development.
• Deep understanding of mobile architectures, patterns, and best practices (e.g., MVVM, MVP, Clean Architecture).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and frameworks.
• Proficiency in mobile performance optimization, memory management, and debugging.
• Solid understanding of the mobile development lifecycle, from design to deployment and maintenance.
• 2+ years of experience managing and leading mobile engineering teams.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality mobile applications on time.
• Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).

• Experience with cross-platform frameworks like Flutter or React Native.
• Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Firebase) for mobile backend integration.
• Exposure to automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
