About the position

The Lead Mobile Engineer plays a crucial role in overseeing mobile engineering services, ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of assigned buildings. This position involves direct support to field operations, tracking performance metrics, and implementing strategic material acquisition strategies to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Supports preparation of monthly/quarterly operations and mechanical reports.
  • Prepares technical evaluations/deficiencies reports on existing mechanical systems and components.
  • Maintains staffing schedules, timekeeping, and employment records for responsible areas in connection with planning, scheduling, and execution of engineering/maintenance work.
  • Runs status and performance reports from JLL CMMS (Corrigo).
  • Plans schedule of work in accordance with established priorities.
  • Furnishes engineers with basic data required in effecting overall and long-range planning.
  • Responds effectively to all emergencies.
  • Maintains and operates HVAC equipment and all associated equipment.
  • Coordinates purchasing and inventory control procedures.
  • Attends periodic management/executive training seminars.
  • Assists in the Preventive Maintenance Program and all HVAC Building Automation Systems.
  • Organizes the Mobile Engineering Services (MES) team.
  • Maintains liaison with Chief Engineer / Regional Operations Manager regarding work orders, job completion dates, priorities, and estimates.
  • Furnishes the Chief Engineer / Regional Operations Manager with information relative to criticality of buildings.
  • Makes recommendations for systems improvement through immediate supervisor or management.
  • Makes recommendations concerning Capital Projects.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer and Regional Operations Manager.

Requirements

  • Universal EPA 608 Certification
  • Minimum of six (6) years of technical and supervisory experience in building engineering with a strong background in technical aspects of packaged HVAC equipment repair, maintenance, and overall system design and application.
  • Possession and maintenance of a valid state driver's license.
  • Excellent working knowledge of computer-based applications and programs, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and climb up to 30 ft. ladders.
  • Ability to perform on-call duties and overtime as required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of overall MEP/HVAC system design and application.
  • Experience managing work orders, utilizing CMMS technology.
  • Experience working in a service-related role, specific to commercial facilities.
