About the position

The Lead Modular Process Engineer at Honeywell UOP will play a crucial role in supporting various aspects of the modular business, which includes sales support, process design, and the engineering phases of prefabricated Modular Process Plants utilizing UOP technologies. This position is integral to the development and enhancement of standards, tools, and technologies for modular equipment offerings. The engineer will be involved in the entire lifecycle of equipment projects, from proposal phase designs through to procurement, fabrication, and delivery. The role may also extend to supporting UOP Sch A process technology efforts as demand dictates. In this position, the engineer will provide process engineering expertise throughout the duration of equipment projects, which will encompass one or more refinery processes and technologies, including new unit designs and revamps. Responsibilities will include performing basic engineering design, process selection, simulation, and equipment sizing, as well as conducting hydraulics and other calculations necessary for the sizing of equipment, control valves, and piping. The engineer will generate essential documents for design projects, such as Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and project specifications required for FEED and detailed engineering. The Lead Modular Process Engineer will also develop instrumentation and control philosophy specifications, participate in the development and review of plant layouts and modular 3-D models, and contribute to technical bid evaluations and design progress reviews. The role requires participation in internal and external HAZOP studies and interdisciplinary checks of project deliverables. The engineer will be responsible for completing assigned project work within the agreed scope, schedule, and budget, while keeping the Project Manager informed of progress and any issues that arise. Additionally, the engineer will work closely with sales support to produce optimized process solutions and participate in new technology development teams. The position demands strong technical leadership, mentoring capabilities, and compliance with Honeywell policies, including health, safety, and environmental standards.
