About the position
The Lead Teacher position at Guidepost Montessori involves creating and leading a model classroom for young children aged 3 months to 6 years. Responsibilities
- Create and lead a model classroom for children aged 3-6, 17 months - 3 years, and 6 weeks to 16 months.
- Provide authentic Montessori education in a prepared environment.
- Collaborate with parents to support their child's development and independence.
- Utilize high-quality materials and manage a classroom budget to create a unique learning space.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and share best practices with peers and mentors.
Requirements
- Montessori Diploma/Certificate for the 3-6 age group or willingness to undergo free training for certification.
- Experience working with children in a group setting, such as preschool, daycare, or childcare.
- Ability to guide children towards independence and provide them with necessary tools.
- Openness to guiding and being guided by colleagues.
- Strong communication skills to partner with parents.
