About the position

The Lead MS BI / SSIS Developer will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) in various technologies including SSIS, SSRS, SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Python, PySpark, and Azure Data Factory (ADF). This role requires a strong leader who can mentor teams, ensuring that high-quality code is produced and that best practices are adhered to throughout the development process. The successful candidate will engage in client-facing activities, demonstrating excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their requirements. In this position, you will lead and manage projects using agile scrum methodology, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards. You will coordinate and collaborate with offshore teams to ensure seamless integration and execution of projects. Your responsibilities will include designing, building, and deploying SSIS packages, as well as optimizing performance using the MSBI stack, which includes SQL Server, SSIS, and SSRS. Additionally, you will develop and manage SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions, and will have hands-on experience with Power BI. You will be responsible for creating SQL Server Database tables, indexes, views, and ETL scripts for data replication from non-relational databases to SQL databases. Troubleshooting and debugging complex issues in SQL Agent Jobs, SSIS packages, and T-SQL queries will also be a key part of your role. You will utilize Azure DevOps (ADO) for project management and will be familiar with concepts such as cherry-picking and code merging. Furthermore, you will report weekly and monthly metrics to track project progress and performance, collaborating with management to align project goals and deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Act as the subject matter expert (SME) in SSIS, SSRS, SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Python, PySpark, and ADF.
• Lead and mentor teams, ensuring high-quality code review and adherence to best practices.
• Engage in client-facing activities, demonstrating excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their requirements.
• Lead and manage projects using an agile scrum methodology, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
• Coordinate and collaborate with offshore teams to ensure seamless integration and project execution.
• Design, build, and deploy SSIS packages and optimize performance using MSBI stack including SQL Server, SSIS, and SSRS.
• Develop and manage SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions, with hands-on experience in Power BI.
• Create SQL Server Database tables, indexes, views, and ETL scripts for data replication from non-relational databases to SQL databases.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in SQL Agent Jobs, SSIS packages, and T-SQL queries.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), and familiarity with concepts like cherry-picking and checking/merging code, etc.

Requirements
