Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems Division (EESSD) is seeking a Lead Negotiation Application Engineer for our Switchgear Modernization Product Line. This role is pivotal in managing retrofit, retrofill, and reconditioning projects of low and medium voltage electrical equipment. The position can be based in either Warrendale, Pennsylvania or Houston, Texas, and involves leading application and negotiation support for Eaton Services Sales, as well as the Industrial and Utility sales verticals, with a specific focus on the Switchgear Modernization product line. In this role, you will be responsible for fielding and fulfilling Requests for Quotations from the North American Sales Engineering team, which includes Technical Application Engineers and Service Sales Specialists. You will utilize digital tools such as Salesforce, Bid Manager, and other quotation software applications, while also assisting in process improvements. As the single Point of Contact for Switchgear Modernization proposals, you will develop material and labor cost estimates and provide pricing recommendations based on market intelligence. Additionally, you will create and develop technical scopes of work along with proposal documentation, lead technical discussions, and provide expertise to both internal sales teams and external customers. Your responsibilities will also include providing feedback to Product Line Management and Engineering Operations teams on process improvements and product development, assisting in the development, modification, and review of technical documentation and literature, and processing internal and external orders. You will provide job hand-off document packages to the operations team and may need to travel to field offices and customer sites to support the application process. Furthermore, you will conduct Switchgear Modernization training for internal team members and external partners, and mentor team members by providing quotation quality control and training to new hires.
