About the position

The Lead .NET Developer at Compass Technology is responsible for leading larger projects while remaining technically hands-on. This role involves building, configuring, customizing, and supporting innovative solutions to complex business challenges. The developer will lead architectural design, system analysis, and programming activities, ensuring high-quality software development and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Builds, configures, customizes, and supports products that provide innovative solutions to challenging business use cases.
  • Key contributor to an engineering team that builds and supports exceptional products.
  • Leads architectural design, system analysis, and programming activities on application software.
  • Champions writing high-quality code with attention to scalability, security, and performance.
  • Creates comprehensive, clear, and user-friendly documentation for all developed products.
  • Drives code-reviews, provides technical guidance, and mentors software engineers.
  • Collaborates closely with Engineering leadership, Product Managers, Designers, QA, and other teams.
  • Scopes effort, identifies risks, and communicates trade-offs with team members and stakeholders.
  • Foresees and assesses impact of product upgrades.
  • Assists in planning, coordinating, and implementing engineering projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5+ years of enterprise software development experience.
  • Full Stack Development experience with C#, EFCore, T-SQL, Blazor, ASP.Net, and MS SQL Server.
  • Working understanding of cloud development principles and software design patterns.
  • Experience in Microservices and REST design patterns.
  • Experience with AWS Tech Stack including Lambda and S3.
  • Experience with CI/CD, Git, and ADO Pipelines.
  • Strong experience with Scrum, Agile Process, and Unit Testing using Test Driven Development.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work on concurrent assignments.
