About the position

NTT DATA America is seeking a Lead Engineer specializing in .NET and Google Cloud Platform to join our team in Plano, Texas. As a Lead .NET Developer, you will be an experienced software development leader focused on delivering high-quality software solutions for our clients. This role is not just about coding; it involves managing a small team, mentoring developers, and ensuring that best practices are followed in software development. You will be responsible for designing software within a defined architecture, providing input to the architecture, and reviewing code to ensure adherence to coding standards and good design principles. In this position, you will manage a 3-person client team, conduct performance reviews, and hold regular one-on-one meetings with team members. You will also be expected to operate as a full-stack developer, working with both new and legacy architecture styles. Your role will include establishing development environments from scratch, creating new hosting and deployment environments, and setting up Continuous Integration processes. You will guide the team in developing estimates, communicate with clients regarding new features and scope changes, and define the technical approach for projects. As a mentor, you will coach your team on the usage of Design Patterns, SOLID principles, and Architectural Patterns. You will also be involved in interviewing junior and mid-level candidates for the team and proactively addressing issues with clients. Responsibilities

• Manage a 3-person client team
• Perform written performance reviews for team members
• Hold regular one-on-ones with team members
• Design independently within a defined architecture

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience developing in C#
• 5+ years of experience working with .NET technologies including at least one of the following: Web API, ASP.NET MVC, Blazor, or MAUI
• Masterful expertise in .NET/.NET Core, with more than 10 years of experience leading the development of highly scalable and resilient applications incorporating SOLID programming principles
• 3+ years of experience working with Azure including at least one of these technologies: Azure Functions, Event Hubs, Service Bus, Identity, AD, AKS, AzDO, and APIM
• 3+ years of experience working with JavaScript, jQuery, NodeJS and/or other related front-end web technologies
• 3+ years of experience with unit testing
• 2+ years of experience in creating new hosting and deployment environments from scratch, working knowledge of containers and virtualization
• Strong proficiency in developing applications with Google Cloud Platform, e.g., Google Cloud Platform pub/sub
• Deep architectural knowledge of microservice architecture & patterns, commonly used messaging patterns
• Development experience with messaging platforms e.g., Kafka
• Strong experience with REST API Development and platforms i.e., ASP.NET Core WEB API
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases i.e., SQL Server, DB2 etc. Familiarity with writing stored procedures
• Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting of apps deployed in production
• Experience with CI/CD tooling i.e., Jenkins, Azure DevOps etc
• Experience with containerization technologies e.g., Docker, Kubernetes
• Proficient with unit and service testing. Experience with testing frameworks xUnit, NUnit etc. Familiar with TDD (Test Driven Development)
