About the position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Lead Operations Analyst Engineer for Phantom Works programs in Berkeley, MO. The Future Air Systems and Technology team within the Virtual Warfare Center (VWC) is looking for an additional Lead Operations Analyst who is eager to tackle challenging problems at the forefront of the business. This role involves guiding and delivering customer-focused analysis, as well as modeling and simulation, to address various capability gaps within the Air Domain. The VWC is responsible for producing constructive and virtual analysis for future aircraft and weapons systems. Insights derived from this analysis will inform BDS investments and drive the Phantom Works capture strategy. In this position, the Lead Operations Analyst Engineer will lead and conduct operations analysis related to aircraft and weapons systems. The analyst will be responsible for delivering concise results from complex analyses, developing models and software simulations, and interfacing with government customers and internal Boeing Business Units to gather model inputs and share analysis results. The role requires proactive coordination across programs to apply mathematical and algorithmic best practices, and the selected candidate will be a key presenter at reviews. This position is expected to be 100% onsite, requiring the selected candidate to work at the specified location in Berkeley, MO. Additionally, the role requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, which necessitates U.S. Citizenship, and an interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 3+ years of experience conducting analysis using models or simulation
  • 3+ years of experience in researching, producing and presenting technical information
  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
