About The Position
The Lead Operations Coordinator at Entergy Corporation is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the scheduling, assignment, management, monitoring, and training of distribution operators. This position is essential in ensuring that the distribution operations are conducted safely, reliably, and with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. The Lead Operations Coordinator will work closely with distribution operations centers to develop and deliver both on-the-job and simulator training, which is crucial for enhancing operator proficiencies. This training enables personnel to effectively perform the necessary tasks for the safe and reliable operation of the distribution system. In addition to training responsibilities, the Lead Operations Coordinator will provide leadership within the workgroup, mentoring team members and ensuring high performance across all tasks. A significant aspect of this role is promoting a safe work environment, which includes the application of Human Performance tools. The coordinator will also be involved in emergency or storm restoration efforts, both in their assigned area and in other areas as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork. The position requires collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, and the Lead Operations Coordinator may assume supervisory duties in the absence of the supervisor. A critical responsibility includes reviewing outage information for accuracy in the Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) and Outage Management System (OMS/DMS). This role is vital for maintaining operational integrity and ensuring that the distribution system meets the needs of the community.
