About the position

The Lead Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a FedEx Ground ISP operation. This role involves managing a team of drivers, ensuring compliance with FedEx Ground standards, optimizing route efficiency, maintaining high safety standards, and fostering a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in logistics and excellent leadership skills to manage a fast-paced, dynamic operation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations, ensuring all routes are covered and deliveries are made on time.
• Monitor and optimize route efficiency to reduce costs and improve service levels.
• Ensure compliance with FedEx Ground ISP standards, policies, and procedures.
• Manage and maintain vehicle fleet, ensuring regular maintenance and repairs are completed.
• Coordinate with FedEx Ground terminal management to ensure smooth operations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of drivers to achieve operational excellence.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
• Work with Human Resources on recruitment and handle onboarding and training of new drivers.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Ensure all drivers adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
• Implement and enforce safety training programs.
• Conduct regular safety audits and vehicle inspections.
• Manage DOT compliance and ensure all required documentation is up to date.
• Address and resolve customer service issues promptly and professionally.
• Maintain a high level of communication with customers, FedEx Ground terminal staff, and internal teams.
• Track and report key performance metrics (KPIs) such as delivery times, route efficiency, and safety incidents.
• Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare regular reports for senior management.

Requirements

• 1 year of leadership experience required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to commute to Saint Peters, MO 63376 required.
• Ability to relocate to Saint Peters, MO 63376 before starting work required.
