About the position

As a Lead Operations Specialist in Upstream Chemicals at Baker Hughes, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and managing strategic business development initiatives across the West Coast Region. This position is integral to the Upstream Chemical team, which operates at the heart of the company's strategic direction. You will be responsible for planning and developing the overall sales strategy, working in a high-impact, fast-paced environment with exclusive product lines. Your leadership will be crucial in delivering successful outcomes for customers through innovative solutions, strong relationships, and a thorough understanding of the business landscape. In this dynamic role, you will identify business growth targets and implement sales plans in collaboration with Service Delivery, Field Business Development, and Technology teams. Building long-term strategic relationships with engineering, supply chain, and executive personnel at customer regional offices will be a key focus. You will also prepare commercial proposals for chemical solutions to share with customers, ensuring compliance with Sales and Service Standards at key customer accounts. Additionally, you will drive the development of both short and long-range sales goals in concert with the Service Delivery and Sales Management teams. To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, the ability to influence others, and strong communication and negotiation skills. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum four years of experience in upstream production chemicals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence others.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer skills.
