About the position

MiCORE Solutions is a leading provider of remote Database, Middleware, and Cloud Infrastructure Management, specializing in Oracle, Microsoft, and open-source technologies. Our remote team provides 24/7/365 monitoring and issue resolutions as well as a range of data management support services. From maintenance support and everyday operational tasks to cloud architecture, migration services, and management. We are seeking to hire an Oracle DBA to join our Oracle database team. Some of the technologies you will work with include Oracle 12c - 21c, Exadata, multi-tenant databases, Oracle Encryption, RAC, Oracle Cloud, and more. MiCORE is a data management company for many clients. Our engineers have the ability to work with many technologies while growing and learning along the way.

Responsibilities

• Management of large databases on Oracle - including installation, design, configuration, backup & recovery, performance analysis, tuning, capacity planning/forecast and security.
• Review Oracle SQL query, DDL, DML including stored procedure, packages before deployment.
• Collaborate with clients in troubleshooting database and application errors.
• Actively monitor the database environment to ensure optimal performance and to prevent production issues.
• Administration of ASM and Grid Infrastructure for RAC, Oracle Restart, Clusterware.
• Setup, configuration, troubleshooting Data-Guard Physical/logical and Active Data Guard.
• Backup and recovery and migration using RMAN, datapump and export/import.
• Proactively monitor and optimize system performance using tuning, optimization, AWR, ASH, and other methods.
• Provide support for database/application deployments.
• Document new processes and procedures for all client environments.
• Provide training in all Oracle DBA facets to the Database Operations Team.
• Must be a team player with excellent collaboration and people skills to be able to engage in productive group discussions.
• Ability to interface with clients at all levels with great end-user support skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication along with the ability to articulate technical solutions for various levels of management and technical staff.
• On-Call Support on a rotational basis - including Off-Hours and Weekends.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Oracle DBA with 6+ years' experience in a mission critical production database environment, including Oracle 11g, 12c and 19c, 21c.
• Experience with Oracle Exadata, Real Application Cluster (RAC), Grid Infrastructure, Oracle Clusterware.
• Knowledge of Oracle Multi-tenant architecture e.g. container and pluggable database.
• Strong Unix scripting and automation skills (4+ years).
• Experience with Oracle Grid, OMS Administration.
• Proficiency in Recovery Manager (RMAN) database backup, recovery and cloning.
• Experience with Dataguard Active/Passive, Physical/Logical.
• Performance tuning, troubleshooting including SQL Tuning.
• Experience with installs, upgrades, patching including Bundle Patches.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well within a team.
• Relevant Oracle certifications are a plus.
