About the position

The Lead Packer (Nights) at WinCup is responsible for overseeing a team of Inspectors and Packers in a manufacturing environment. This role involves organizing packing duties, ensuring quality control, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards. The Lead Packer plays a crucial role in the packaging process of finished products, ensuring that they meet quality specifications and are prepared for distribution.

Responsibilities

• Organizes packing duties and assigns Inspector/Packers to specific bins during the shift meeting.
• Ensures that packing supplies are obtained and on-hand when the shift begins.
• Trains new Inspector/Packers in all associated duties and safety rules/procedures.
• Assists and performs Inspector/Packer duties, including constructing cartons and inspecting products for quality.
• Packs products into cartons according to order specifications and ensures proper sealing and labeling.
• Moves packed cartons to the designated stacking area for pickup by the forklift operator.
• Sets aside defective products for correction or scrapping to prevent shipping defects.
• Follows safety procedures during operations and maintains housekeeping standards in the work area.
• Attends meetings as required and performs other duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of experience in a manufacturing environment overseeing finished goods being packed.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
