Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of painters on various construction projects
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and filling holes or cracks
  • Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray guns
  • Power wash homes to ensure a clean paintable surface
  • Follow specifications to ensure accurate and precise painting
  • Perform wood and drywall repairs as needed
  • Use power tools and equipment such as sanders, sprayers, and ladders
  • Caulk gaps and seams to ensure a smooth finish
  • Assist with other carpentry tasks such as framing, trim work, or installation of fixtures
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within budget

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge and experience in painting techniques and materials
  • Proficient in using power tools and equipment related to painting and carpentry
  • Ability to follow specifications accurately
  • Knowledge of drywall repair techniques
  • Familiarity with caulking, stucco application, and other related tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality workmanship
