About the position
The Lead Pastor will be responsible for leading the congregation of The First Baptist Church of Ledgewood, demonstrating strong leadership qualities in accordance with biblical standards. The role requires a clear calling to pastoral ministry, deep biblical knowledge, and prior experience in ministry leadership. The pastor will engage in preaching, teaching, and providing pastoral care while overseeing church operations and community outreach efforts.
Responsibilities
- Preaching and teaching the Word of God with clarity and relevance
- Providing pastoral care and counseling to congregation members
- Leading or facilitating Bible studies, prayer meetings, and other activities that encourage spiritual growth
- Overseeing the administration and operations of the church in collaboration with the leadership team
- Engaging in community outreach and evangelism efforts to fulfill the Great Commission
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Theology or a related field from an accredited university or seminary
- Prior experience in ministry leadership
- Strong leadership qualities in accordance with biblical standards
- Deep knowledge and understanding of the Bible
